Commodore's Welcome:
Welcome to the Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club
website. We are located on the south shore of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean Sea;
our club is one of the most beautiful with complete facilities and services in
the Caribbean. The club was founded in 1938 on “Isla de Gatas” in Ponce,
when access was only by boat. As the time progressed, so did the club and today
we have a secured gated road access, fully equipped administrative offices,
gymnasium, two swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court, small golf
course, running track, children's playground and activity area, a small beach,
the Commodore’s Sports bar and Restaurant with beautiful bay views, the Marlin
Room activity area with cocktail lounge and food services, fully equipped fuel
dock, a boat hauling yard, dry dock, and 168 slips marina across seven piers.
We've come a long way from that small island with a few members, but we still retain that personal touch and familiar atmosphere where boaters, club members, and guests feel at home. We host plenty of activities ranging from dances, carnivals, and "socials" for our club members as well as international fishing and sailing events. If you ever come by the Caribbean, we extend a wholehearted invitation to come and spend some time with us!
